Global Strategic Leadership

 

The Bachelor of Arts in Global Strategic Leadership is designed for adult learners seeking to skillfully lead in the business marketplace and engage in community ministry, rooted in biblical principles and centered in Christ. This degree program encompasses a diverse curriculum, integrating leadership best practices, coaching techniques, technological proficiency, theological understanding, and cross-cultural training tailored for Christian ministry. The Global Strategic Leadership degree prepares students to lead themselves, lead people, lead the development implementation and integration of systems, and lead contextually in and among cultures. Furthermore, students have the flexibility to enhance their expertise by selecting a minor in several areas, including Church Planting and Development and Pentecostal Spirituality. This integrated approach ensures a well-rounded education for effective and adaptable leadership in various global leadership and ministry contexts.

 

The Bachelor of Arts in Global Strategic Leadership has been intentionally designed to fully include all of the courses in the approved Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry Leadership. This provides an option for students to seamlessly progress from the associate degree to the bachelor’s degree.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Evaluate, define and practice fundamental ethical leadership principles for organizations, aligning them with biblical teachings.

  • Apply knowledge of current business best practices, integrating the needs of both for-profit and non-profit organizations. 

  • Integrate knowledge from missiology, culture, and Christian ethics to formulate a personalized model of leadership.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of contemporary global leadership environments, displaying an informed perspective on related challenges.

  • Effectively lead churches in navigating contemporary cultural contexts for missional purposes.

  • Employ critical and ethical thinking skills while proficiently communicating through written, oral, and technology-based mediums.

Program Length

The Bachelor of Arts in Global Strategic Leadership requires the completion of 120 credits. The bachelor’s degree program is typically completed in four (4) years. This duration may vary depending on individual course load and any prior credits transferred. The time limit for completing the bachelor's degree program is eight (8) years.

Degree Requirements

The Bachelor of Arts in Global Strategic Leadership is comprised of five content areas: General Education courses (30 semester credits); Bible and Theology core courses (15 semester credits); Christian Ministry Leadership courses (21 semester credits); Global Strategic Leadership major courses (36 semester credits); and a selected Minor (18 semester credits). Students may choose from one of the following minors: Pentecostal Spirituality or Church Planting and Development.

This degree equips graduates to excel as leaders in both ministry and business, ensuring they are prepared to lead with integrity, wisdom, and strategic vision in both their professional careers and their ministerial callings.

 

Students must successfully complete all courses with a passing grade.

Instructional Modality

The program is structured to be delivered online via sixteen (16) week terms. Courses are structured as self-directed learning with an assigned instructor to facilitate assessment of assignments and engage in dialogue with students within the Learning Management System. Each week’s modules have specific learning outcomes, delivered via asynchronous learning modules, written assignments, and/or quizzes and exams. Peer engagement (student-student) is accomplished through interactive Community Engagement Lecture activities. This interactive learning modality allows students to develop rich connections with faculty and each other, providing them the opportunity to achieve a sense of community. The institution’s technology allows for responsive student-faculty interaction. Student work is typically graded within 72 hours of submission, and results are available immediately within the Learning Management System.
