A study of the beginnings and systematic extension of the Christian church. Topics included are the Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Spirit and its attendant effects, the apostolic doctrine, the ministries, and miracles of the apostles and their application to the church today, the opening of the Church to the Gentiles, and missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. An emphasis will be placed on the development of the early church in the Roman Empire with its conflicts, influences, and persecutions.
