The Associate of Arts Degree  
   


The A.A. degree program is recommended for students who plan to further their education in Biblical Studies and serve in various areas of church ministry. The program includes courses in General Studies and Biblical Studies. Possible minors include Music, Early Childhood Development (offered at the Los Angeles extension site), Math, English, History and Art.

Students completing requirements for the Associate of Arts degree may decide to enroll in and have their credits transferred to B.A. or B.S. degree programs at other four-year colleges and universities. Earning an Associate of Arts degree at Patten University does not automatically qualify a student for admission to another college or university. As early as possible, students should contact the Admissions and Registrar’s Offices of the undergraduate institutions to which they with to transfer credits about admission requirements and course word that would transfer into their chosen programs.

Minimum Graduation Requirements for the Associate of Arts Degree

  1. Complete all required courses in the A.A. program. Complete all General Studies and Biblical Studies requirements.
  2. Earn a minimum of 61 credits of collegiate work with a “C” (2.0 grade point average) in a curriculum which Patten University accepts toward the degree.
  3. Earn at least 12 general education credits from Patten University (residency requirement);
  4. Complete a Written English Requirement.
  5. Satisfy all financial obligations to Patten University
  6. Fulfill the assessment requirements of Patten University.
